Who will benefit from Coaching?

A person who is basically healthy; who believes in him/herself; who wants self improvement; who wants to develop to the next level and who is prepared, maybe even eager, to change. In Maslow's language: A self-actualizing person.

“Coaching itself is a democratic process for developing, learning and adding quality to life and business. It’s for anyone wanting to improve the quality of life, expand skills, relate more authentically and personally, take good performance to higher levels of expertise and unleash one’s untapped potentials.”

Hall, L. Michael; Duval, Michelle. (2003). Coaching Conversations for Transformational Change. Clifton, CO: Neuro-Semantic Publications

The where and how of our Coaching and what it costs

Coaching is most effective when the coach and coachee meet eye to eye, but this is not always possible.

If the person who requires coaching (the "coachee") is in Gauteng, our coach will meet him or her somewhere where it is quiet and private. If this entails travelling by the coach, a reasonable fee for travelling will be payable.

If a face-to-face meeting is not possible, arrangements can be made for coach and coachee to communicate via Skype, Windows Messenger, telephone or email. In the case of coaching via telephone, these calls will have to be made by the coachee. (Contact us here.)

If you prefer coaching to take place in a language other than English, please enquire beforehand.

There will be no coaching fee for the first 30 minutes of coaching (or the first email). The coaching fee after the initial 30 minutes will be agreed upon between coach and coachee, payable in advance.

(Many of the headings and sources below are clickable links to other pages)

Business coaching

"It is the practice of providing support and occasional advice to an individual or group in order to help them recognize ways in which they can improve the effectiveness of their business." (Wikipedia)

Executive coaching

"This is a strategy or method for improving an executive's personal and professional effectiveness." (Executive Coaching: The Essential Guide for Mental Health)

Family coaching

"Family coaching is about being in partnership with a professional who supports the entire family in creating wholeness, happiness and connection. Family coaching focuses on accelerating a families’ movement towards a unified vision or goal and supports the family in creating a “road map” towards the desired outcome. Family coaching is not therapeutic, however, a family coach will assist you in unconcealing what may be preventing the family from creating what is desired." (Insigt Out)

Health and wellness coaching

"Health coaching is becoming recognized as a new way to help individuals "manage" their illnesses and conditions, especially those of a chronic nature." (Wikipedia)

Leadership coaching

"At its best, leadership coaching is a powerful means to help individual leaders to translate their values into practical, positive action." (The Art and Practice of Leadership Coaching, by Howard Morgan, Phil Harkins, Marshall)

Life coaching

"This is a practice with the aim of helping clients determine and achieve personal goals. Life coaches use multiple methods that will help clients with the process of setting and reaching goals. Coaching is not targeted at psychological illness, and coaches are not therapists nor consultants." (Wikipedia) (See also: Personal coaching and Relationship coaching)

Personal coaching

"...is a relationship which is designed and defined in a relationship agreement between a client and a coach. It is based on the client's expressed interests, goals, and objectives." (Wikipedia) (See also: Life coaching)

Relationship coaching

"Relationship coaching is a professional client-focused service where an individual or couple is assumed to be healthy, powerful, and able to achieve relationship goals with effective support, information, and guidance. There are significant and sometimes contrasting differences between therapy and coaching, and these differences in and of themselves better highlight the strengths of coaching." (Relationship Coaching Institute)

Retrenchment coaching

"Retrenchment coaching is professional assistance to someone who has been or is about to be retrenched. The aim is to turn the negative experience around by assisting the coachee to discover the possibilities to turn some of his or her passions into lucrative activities - and to set and pursue concrete goals in this regard.

Spritual coaching

"The goal of spiritual coaching is for clients to have a balanced and fulfilled life through a process of aligning and integrating your outer world with your inner being." (Coach Training Institute)
